I am Jhette. I'm the Founder of VersaTalents Marketing and I'm here to tell you my story.

Upwork is the platform I chose to build my newly chosen career as a virtual assistant or freelancer. After leaving the corporate world, I was trying to figure out what to do. I had much uncertainty and wanted to find a stable job that would provide me with a good income.

 

I decided to try Upwork as it is the best option since it is an online platform where people can hire freelancers. It was not easy initially since there were no connections, and potential employers did not accept proposals. There were times I spent months waiting for feedback from anyone. I needed more connects to send out proposals. I got declined and rejected by many employers, lowballed because I had no work history shown on the platform, and then I started asking myself questions. "Is this the right path to take? How can I survive another rejection? Where am I going to get the money to cover all of my expenses? I told myself that if I were to stop right now, it would create another problem to solve, so I kept moving and eventually landed a client that gave me the chance of a lifetime.

 

After establishing my portfolio, I started getting many invites that I could no longer handle, and I thought, instead of declining the job offer, what about I refer freelancers that I know who can do the job as well.

It all started with a simple idea. I wanted to help businesses find the best talent for their teams. That's when I came up with the idea of building my staffing agency, where VersaTalents Marketing was born. I never thought that it would go this far. It's been a long journey, but we are finally at a point where we can offer our clients world-class service and expertise in finding the right virtual assistant or freelancer to help them run their business.

Get to know me better

With years of experience in cold calling, emailing, and appointment setting, I’ve honed the art of connecting with diverse audiences and understanding their needs. Working closely with marketing teams sparked a passion for creativity that I couldn’t ignore—whether it’s crafting compelling visuals, capturing moments through photography, or creating engaging video content.

Now, I’m combining the skills I’ve mastered in outreach with my love for storytelling to venture into the world of UGC creation. It’s a blend of strategy and creativity, where every piece of content is designed to resonate, inspire, and deliver results.
